    Pruned 100%.

    I imagine it’s to manage size with it being so close to the house. If it’s done often enough you can trim anything with hedge trimmers and have it looking like that.

    Whoever does it knows what they’re doing.

    I’m sorry, double post because Reddit said the first time was not successful, try again later.

    I saw this tree in Washington DC, and it looks pruned to an artificial shape, but it is taller than the 3 or 4 story building next to it. It’s on a narrow road with other trees on both sides, so we can’t imagine how it could possibly be pruned. With a crane? A cherry picker basket with one person up top and a person on the ground giving visual advice? Drones?! Or maybe this is its natural shape?
