Turns out the "crime pays but botany doesn't" guy has a podcast now! For those who don't know, this is a YouTuber named Joey Santore, who has a phd in botany. He's tattooed, and his crass approach to botany is entertaining and welcoming to a stoner like me. He focuses primarily on natives of Texas and loves wandering through abandoned lots ranting about our downfall due to strip malls.
He now has a podcast, and his latest episode is with Dan Hosage, a local native plant expert. This episode references Austin quite a lot, and focuses primarily on Edwards plato. Super interesting and local! It's worth checking out if you're looking to learn something about Edwards plato and Texas ecology.
