Mushrooms at the base of tree (extra photos added)

This very large tree on my property doesn’t seem to be doing very well. Our landlord had the tree trimmed considerably last Fall. And these mushrooms have been growing at the base for months. Considering the size of the tree and it’s proximity to a busy road, power lines, and multiple structures – I’m worried that the mushrooms mean the tree is rotting and may be more likely to fall down. What do you all think?

Trees a goner. Call the power company and they will most likely cut it for free.
