Does regular led lamps work for plants?

Hi! I am currently working on a plant shelf and was wondering if i could use my home led lamps for m'y babies? I have a propagation shelf, classic exotic plants like monsteras but wanna also put a chamber for Peppers! (I suppose Peppers will need crazy lamps 😄)
Most of my lightbulbs are 2700-3000K and have an average of 1500lm for 12w.
Do you have any advice for m'y setup? 😇

You can use these, they’ll grow stuff well as long as they’re not too far away (within 1-2 feet)

You also have to be careful to not let them get humid or wet at all, unlike using a DC LED instead

The colour temperature will be fine, you can mix 3000k and 6500k together to get a pleasing sunlight colour

Yes they will work. Careful with exposed contacts tho, most of them have exposed mains AC voltage in there. You need about 300w/ square meter or more for good lighting. Sometimes growlights are cheaper since these need the plugs and wires to be bought as well. So check that before you start a pointless DIY project.

I’m gonna contradict the existing answer with “Im quite confident they will not”. That said, that’s entirely based on second hand info! And this article at least makes it seem like 3000K (3kK?) is in a somewhat meaningful range: https://herbswithin.com/read-kelvin-rating-grow-light/

If you have plants already, I recommend you just buy a pack of grow light bulbs! Cheaper than you may expect. But also 🤷🏼‍♂️ could definitely be wrong. This is the standard advice tho, see https://www.thespruce.com/grow-plants-with-an-led-light-6755341

    > If you want your plants to thrive, it is not recommended to use a regular LED light in an indoor setting where the natural light is not sufficient. The plants won’t deteriorate right away but over time, they will show signs of light depravation and possibly stop to grow. The more amount of full-spectrum light (i.e. natural light) a plant needs to thrive, the more dramatic the effects of insufficient light will be.
