As my Garden is plagued by slugs and I don’t want to lose my crops to them, I put 2 layers of copper tape around my buckets and wired up a 9V battery connector, so when the slugs try to climb my buckets and bridge both of the copper tapes they get hit by 9V and should (in theory) turn around. They should not take permanent damage from it tho.

The copper alone should be enough… they won’t cross it, in my experience.
