How viable is foraged wood for a humid terrarium long term?

I haven't used branches or wood in a humid terrarium yet and am wondering how well it will hold up in a constantly wet or humid environment. I attached some pictures of a few branches in my yard. These have been outside for a few years, some in dry storage for that entire time. I had plans to submerge some wood and have other pieces exposed to constant running water in an 80+ humid enclosure.

Anyone with experience in using local wood like this lasting long term? I'd hate for it to start rotting and have to redo the hardscape again.

The last pic is the tree. I think it's a poplar tree? The branches fell off of that.

Thanks in advance!!

People do this often in crested gecko vivariums, sharing in case that gives you another source for information. From what I’ve learned it matters what type of wood it is, ie needs to be a “hard” wood and should be baked off before introducing to make sure any lingering mold particles or moisture is baked off
