For context, the Oak tree is next to a pool and has no issues since the house was built. It looks fine other than bark getting stripped as the branches get skinnier as it gets higher. I’ve figured that was squirrels too. Squirrels love the trees clusters around here and we’ve had issues with them getting in the attic before. If squirrels, what is an effective way to get them to stop. It’s constantly enough to fill a kitchen trash bag every week and that does not seem healthy for the tree. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m asking on behalf of my parents because my Dad wants to shoot squirrels with a BB gun, Mom thinks tree could be sick. No one has physically seen a squirrel in action but have seen nests and movement during the day haha
