Horticulture Terrariums

I’ve been using tap water, not distilled.🤦🏽‍♂️

Hi friends! Brand new here. Ive just recently started out this new hobby or terrarium building. I put this together as my first one. There are springtails, isopods and other small crawly guys from outside, and fittonias. I’ve made the mistake of using tap water for the last week/ week and a half and the flowers are not looking great. If I start using distilled water now, is there hope to rejuvenate the ecosystem and make it thrive without ruining what’s already there? Thank you in advance for the tips! 😊

i use tap water almost exclusively – its very hard desert water. the problem you face is likely under watering / too much sun

People should remember that Tap water is not the same everywhere. If you are living in a larger size city than you probably get a pretty good dose of chlorine in your tap water. You can use chemical dechlorinater or fill a container and let it sit for a few days.I think that the best solution is to have a cheap R/O system if you have plants or tropical fish and use the water regularly.
