I was told to repot my fiddle leaf fig because it was developing root rot. At the time, it had dark brown splotches forming on the leaves and so I repotted it with some special fiddle leaf fig soil and some “smart gravel” at the bottom. It has been 4 days of looking like this, getting worse and worse every day. I gave it a little bit of water because I was getting really scared at how many leaves were dry and falling off. The soil was pretty dry at that point (I didn’t water after replanting because the roots were so wet) but now I can’t justify watering it any more. My friend said it’s not humid enough in the house and that I should spray the leaves with water. I’m so hopeless, did I destroy this plant? All of the leaves look and feel like they’re about to fall off. I’ve been keeping it by a different window with more direct sunlight during the day, but I moved it today because it almost looks sunburnt. I’m so upset and could use some advice, thank you!
