I water propagated a pothos off of my friends plant and recently put it in soil. I’m still kind of new to plants so im just curious, in order to have a full pot of Pothos in the future would I just have to keep cutting this one vine, water propagating, and then sticking it back into the same pot? I can’t imagine it will create that many new growths to fill a pot right?

Yes, I normally pot like ~15 cuttings together in a bigger pot when I prop. This one might throw an extra vine or two but to get a bushy plant you’ll need to continue chopping and propping as it grows.
