Pothos

Why are my leaves turning yellow, I am watering once every 3 weeks or more

I bought this pothos from like a boutique plant shop and they potted it for me and told me to water it when I got home so I did, I haven't watered it since (about 2 weeks ago), why are these leaves turning yellow? Did this really happen because I watered it once when it may have had already moist soil? It's only about 4 leaves that are like this so I will just not water it for another like 2-3 weeks probably and hope that no more leaves turn…anything else for me to do? It doesn't get a ton of light on this bookshelf so I have this cheap grow light on it for about 14 hours a day, I added another one on the other side recently so the backside gets some light too

Actually check the soil, like now. If it’s wet, probably root rot and that will kill your plant if it’s not handled immediately. If the soil is dry, give it water, never go on a weekly schedule always check the soil. Find a skewer or something similar, stick it in the dirt, if it has dirt on it or feels cold the soil is moist, if it has nothing it’s dry
