I am looking for ID and to see what’s going on with this cacti. I got this 2 years ago from a Reddit seller. I snapped a pic of the name and plant itself once I received it so I’d always have the name of it and track its progress.Well new phone service and I don’t have any info on this specimen. Well it looks waaay better than when I received it. I have been applying Monterrey Garden Phos to it as that seems to help from what I’ve read. But it still has that rough scaly look. Corking maybe ?Is this fungal or what. ?The new growth looks very healthy tho. Thanks so much.

All there is to say about the ID is T.Pacanoi Monstrose.
Looks like it has had some issues with fungus in the mix.
The old growth will always be scarred but the new growth is healthy so keep on doing that. Good luck!
