How is this looking?

I started it last year with a ton of maple saw dust from a tree removal. Garden clippings, kitchen scraps, and document shredding is the typical addition. There are a few hanging baskets recently added. Probably a little dry right now. That section is my yard the rain water settles so it soaked it up. I seem to rarely see bugs in my compost. Is it because it runs hot? Too dry?
