Fittonia Propagation (First time)

They survive the first week, now I have to leave them for around 4 days.
It's south east Asia here, even the raining season is around 29 degree Celsius. Out of fear that they might die of thirst, I have them more than they need.

I purposely gave the plastic cup a little space at the bottom, hopefully the excessive humidity can escape through it and the root don't rot.

Do you think they will make it through?
I should be able to visit them two days later if they definitely won't make it through.

The window is facing north east, a few hours of sunlight in the morning.

The substrate is a mix of sphagnum moss, bark, worm castings, Perlite, charcoal, coco peat. It holds moisture quite well.

The drainage layer is only a thin layer of rainbow stones.

When working with cuttings the aim is to minimise transpiration as the plant is attempting to put all of its energy and resources into striking roots and this is why you will witness the production of foliage almost entirely cease during the striking phase. The way to achieve this is to have a decent level of humidity coupled with a minimal amount of foliage. I wouldn’t be surprised if the cuttings with only one node strike faster than the cuttings with two. Once upon a time we used to even cut the leaves on the single nodes in half as to reduce transpiration even further.
