On my way home from a fishing trip i
encountered this birch bleeding sap from
several spots, brown/purple about 1/3 of the way up the base. Located in an area far away from civilisation. Northern Norway/Swedish border. Forming of chaga or other parasitic mushrooms? No sign of Tinder fungus.
Any ideas?
