Succulent leaves are dropping off

I recently repotted this last month and the leaves have started dropping off. I've only watered it once since reporting. The plant is sitting on my window sill so gets consistent light every day.

Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Thank you for posting to r/plantclinic!

It looks like you may be asking about a cactus or succulent. In addition to any advice you receive here, please consider visiting r/cactus r/succulents for more specialized care advice.

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

  2. I have the same plant and happened to me too on two occasions, the soil in my case is very aerated but for the second one, out of 3 stems (all three are in the same pot), two of them died after it dropped leaves like yours, the third one seems fine. I got to the point of watering it only when the leaves shows signs of wrinkling and it still did not save those two.

I would be interested in what replies you get here since I have quite a few succulents and this one was the only one to not enjoy my treatment (also had another one prior that died in a similar way).

These guys will drop leaves suddenly if the soil is staying moist for too long. It probably didn’t need water. I agree that you shouldn’t water unless the leaves wrinkle. If you’re still having issues then you should consider changing to a smaller pot with cactus and succulent soil. Are adding perlite to your soil.
