Anybody know what this is? Has flaky bark, & these leaves are evergreen. It grows slowly in shady areas & clay soil. Pretty drought tolerant, not sure if it has flowers or berries. Leaves do change colors but haven’t found consistency in this

Also the plants grow anywhere from 1-4 feet tall, only a few feet wide.
