Plant Propagation

Whats going on qith my angel wing begonia leaf?

I already snipped one that turned crisp and yellow. This one is starting to discolor and change texture. Is this plant dying? I got it about a week ago. It gets plenty of sunlight.

You got it a week ago, but how long has it been in water? I have the exact same variety, and it *hates* being left in water too long, especially once it’s roots are far long enough to be planted like you have here (they have tiny root systems, so what you’re seeing here is more than sufficient). When left in water too long, the oldest foliage will do this and needs to be removed. I’ve been dealing with health issues, so I simply don’t have the energy to pot up cuttings many times. This happens to me all the time only with these guys because they root quickly and need potted quickly, so I know it’s not a one-off lol. This cutting also has a lot of leaves, which I bet exasperated the issue.

Just pop that leaf off and plant it up ASAP. You should be good. In the future, once the roots get somewhere between 1-2”, you really are good to pot them and they’ll do better too. But try to stick to 1-2 leaves per cutting for best success.
