My Azlanii is unfurling a new leaf and the areas that were exposed to the light are red while the hidden areas away from the light are green. Will the green areas balance out as the leaf grows and hardens? This is a new variety for me so I was a little surprised to see it look like that when it finally opened up. I googled around but didn’t see anything that specifies this. Thanks for any advice.

Yes – the colours will develop as it hardens off, go carefully with watering as they are prone to oedema and those areas remain discoloured after getting the oedema 💚👍
I’ve noticed it on all my alos when they put a new leaf out. Just normal colouring from the uneven sun exposure as it unfurls!
