Complete garden novice here. Wondering the best way to get rid of these weeds.
Earlier this year I dug a border around my lawn and planted a load of plants & flowers. When I dug the border, I just turned over a lot of the ground and then topped it up with top soil. I regret that now, as a lot of the grass grows back through and a lot of weeds are coming through too.
I was keeping up with it and just tackling weeds as they popped up, but over the last couple of months I've not been able to as much and now a lot of it has grown!
What am I best off doing?
A) Should I just be getting on my hands and knees and going round the whole border with a hand trowel and digging them up. But then how can I prevent them growing back constantly?
B) Or should I be getting the plants & flowers out of the ground, dig up the ground and discard, buy a load of new topsoil and basically starting again?
C) Something else?
Any answers / general tips much appreciated!
