It must be monarch migration time in the Chicagoland area. I’ve seen more monarchs than usual in the last week. Here’s a shot from this morning of a monarch enjoying a break on a prairie star in our hellstrip native garden. Despite being about 1.5 feet from the street, he seemed happy enough with his resting place.
