Did you lay those flagstones directly on the mulch, or prep the ground somehow where those would be laid? I’ve seen different schools of thought on stone paths in mulched areas (mostly whether that’s sufficient, or if you still need the sand/excavation below) and would love to hear real experiences!

Looks great. I would have sheet mulched over the sod, less work and more nutrients.
