San Pedro Cactus

Many successful grafts in the past. Thoughts on the extreme scalloping of the (pc) rootstock preventing union in this case?

Pc rootstock, tershekeii x psycho0 scion. Unwatered and placed indoors under low intensity fluorescent beams for three days post. Other successful unions in this batch not showing same issue.

My thought is rootstock was cut too close to the tip.

Do you have pics of the cut before grafting? That’s weird.

How well watered was the stock before grafting?

I’ve cut rootstocks down this close and not seen this happen. Super weird.

With Grandi micro grafts i put plastic over to keep humidity and it seems to stop this from happening and I even stopped tapering the edges. This is with lophophora on grandi
