Cyclamen appeared in garden

I’ve been living in this house in Yorkshire for 6 years. This stretch of lawn has never done well being in the north side of the house and shaded by hedges and an oak tree almost the entire day year round.

About four years ago one of these popped up seemingly out of nowhere (possible that I just didn’t notice before that though!) I remember seeing the leaves one year first before they flowered the next. Every year since, they’ve flourished and brought friends with them – now in about 8 different spots on the same lawn.

I love them, and they always make me smile walking past what was fairly drab patchy grass now having some spots of colour springing up.

My question is: what’s the likely way they got there if I hadn’t seen them the first years I was here? I enjoy having fun with the garden, especially watching the unmanaged ‘wild’ changes through the years, but there’s a lot I don’t know! Is there anything I can do to help them develop? It looks online like they sometimes struggle to establish but are doing really well unattended so what would you do with these if you could?

Thanks!!
