Heck yeah. I approve highly of this repurposing. Long term the plastic will crack and deteriorate with UV exposure, but that’s down the line, and it was free!

Thats brilliant! I can totally relate, i also recycle everything I can

It will heat up really fast and kill your plants. Be careful.

A lot of people forget the “reuse” part of reduce, reuse, recycle. Good job.

Careful outside. It can cook your plants.

Nice, it will deteriorate, so maybe try waxing or ceramic coating, etc. anything to lessen UV damage.

Yes it will get very hot inside quickly being that it’s small. You may wanna prop up the top or add air holes. I have a couple of the dome covers and they have a covered vent on top and I had it open and covering a sunflower plant. One morning I came out and saw something hopping inside constantly. It was a house sparrow! It actually fit thru that hole. I shouldn’t be surprised because they shove themselves thru the chicken wire I have on the chicken coop! Smart birds. Great idea though!!

I do this for seed starting. Need to keep it propped open for ventilation though. One problem I’ve had is the moisture build up can cause mold and fungus to spread quickly.
