Previous owners installed drainage and catch basins which look to be partially covered by a DIY paver patio area. I noticed water puddling during spring thaw around the basin lasting about a week. Cleaned them out preparing for upcoming spring thaw. Wondering if it would be better to remove a few square pavers and put river rock surrounding the drain cover so it’s not partially covered by a paver? If so, do I use plastic edging to keep the river rock from falling in?
