No Lawns

Solarization has begun!

Zone 5b. Hopefully it stays warm enough.

Going to plan a clover/violet ground cover with lots of pollinator friendly native wild flowers

I’ve seen a couple pictures of this – is it just a method to kill your grass?

  2. Beauty. Just finishing ours up after 6 weeks in the CO sun, worked great. Question OP, what’s your next step? We’re deliberating compost then mulch everywhere vs compost just where we’re planting. Also using expanded shale to improve the drainage.

At this time of year you might be better off trying occultation instead of solarization. I’m in US zone 7 and didn’t have much luck later in the year but occultation late summer to spring did the trick
