Emergency?

This tree is pretty close to our home, had a tree trimming service out to cut down an old tree. They also looked at this and said this was an emergency to have this cut down because of the “holes” at these points in the pictures. They are not arborists so I think they just want more work and money. Is this really an emergency and risk of falling on my home?
