I brought this 5.5 ft tall fiddle leaf fig home about 6 weeks ago. It currently sits in a 14 inch nursery pot. It came with a nasty fungus gnat infestation which is slowly improving with mosquito bits watering and sticky traps. The combination of exposing roots on top, roots popping out of the drainage holes AND the gnats problem is making me really eager to repot it asap. The plant itself is doing well as all the leaves are lush green and seem healthy.
Is it too early for me to repot it? Will repotting cause it to throw a tantrum and die on me? Please help a new FLF mom out 😭.
