Received this from a plant friend who had to move – let me know how this fig is doing I just watered it (they said it was due ) but let me know if this one is in good condition or not or any tips thank you.

It honestly looks like it’s struggling. These guys like plenty of sun, but it may need to be acclimated over a few weeks if it’s never had direct sun before. Regardless, I think you should keep the blinds open as much as possible so it gets enough light. They generally need to dry out about 50% or so between waterings, and should be watered thoroughly until water runs out of the bottom of the pot. If this pot doesn’t have drainage holes, get it into a pot that has them. Tying it to a stake will just encourage the trunk to stay weak and thin. Movement stimulates the plant to thicken the trunk, so try shaking it for a few minutes every day, or place a fan close by and let the wind do it.
