Had underbrush removed so I could build a chicken run here. But the land is a bit sloped. Can I pour some sand on it or do I need to grade is with crushed granite or something?

The chicken run posts will be buried, so I can ensure that’s level. But I’m wondering if I can just add sand on top to even it out for the chickens themselves. And maybe a barrier to prevent the sand from washing away. Ona bit of a budget.

It doesn’t look like a crazy incline. I’d make a pathway that won’t be mud in the winter/fall, and leave the rest. You could plant wildflowers around the coop to attract bugs
