Just made my first prop box and I'm so worried about mold. I bought a hygrometer to check but it's almost immediately at >90% humidity. I took the lid off this morning until it dropped to 75% but within minutes of putting the lid on its back up to 98%
It's a 1:1:1 mix of sphagnum moss, perlite, and fluval stratum and is sitting in a south facing window for lighting.
Should I poke holes? Keep the lid partially propped open? I probably should've tried some props I didn't care about first 😅 (the exotica was dying already and I was just trying to save it so I know about the yellow leaf)
