  1. Hello Emma, I got my plot back in May. My hubby taken out the tom last week due to the cold nights. Can't wait for sunday only been growing for 2 years ATB Angie xx

  2. Did you see Michael Barrymore when he was on Come Dine With Me and he nicked someone’s crockery and served up his food on said crockery on his night. Classic! Loving the video too! 😊

  3. Agree with you on the green tomato chutney. My Dad used to make it when I was a boy, production process used to be a bit smelly, but the finished product was fantastic. Another idea for next year, thanks Emma!

  4. I love harvesting seeds and beans almost as much as I love harvesting fruit and veg to eat! I’ve got plates of nasturtium and marigold seeds drying at the minute and we’ve got so many runner beans seeds too. If you find someone who wants to swap a herd of cows, point them my way! 😂

  5. Hi Emma, just watched your video on woodchip, I think the word your looking for is discombobulated, it's a great word to describe your either confused or excited..Happy woodchipping x

  6. Yes, definitely blight I'm afraid, you were right to get rid. I just took the last of mine down the other day too. I saved as many toms as I thought would ripen but even so, quite a few as they are ripening are becoming blighty fruits so I've had to throw a lot of them, sad times 🙁 but I've already ordered and received more varieties to try out next year 😀

The beans you have are already dried in the pods (The pods are crispy) so you can depod them and lay them out somewhere dry for a little longer to make sure they are fully dry and then store them in a jar or tub to use when you like, or as seeds for next year 🙂

  7. 1:45 Emma you should ditch the shovel and get an empty bucket or container for this woodchip moving and just use your hands to push the woodchip into the container then empty that into your wheelbarrow. Honestly, you can shift the woodchips two or three times faster this way.

  8. I totally understand the woodchip euphoria especially when it's free & dumped close by! It makes pathways look tidy & cared for.

  9. Email so glad you got more chippings Emma it was meant to be. And manure… get you! The girl is on a roll! Will it soon be your 2nd plots one year anniversary? 🎉🎉

  10. I would keep going and get as much done as possible don’t know when the next woodchip drop will be. Even take a load a pile it somewhere and you have it when your ready

  11. Hi Emma a little tip from another channel Kerry @Dogonthe plot she uses her friend's rabbits bedding to mulch her no dig beds in the Autumn hope that helps for next year's crops ❤

  12. Woodchip on weed fabric. When in a couple of years it is semi broken down. Lift the fabric at one side and drag it onto a bed as an autumn mulch. Re Chip the path…… Sorted. ❤

  13. That’s definitely blight Emma, my outdoor ones got it and I took all the tomatoes off to make green tomato chutney but by the time I went to use them a few days later the tomatoes had brown on them from the blight and were disgusting 😭

  14. Wood chips= pure joy! I ordered 2 big truckloads this spring. I couldn't help but happy dance when it came. My husband thought I was nuts, lol. If you know, you know. Manure and wood chips, best stuff ever!

  15. Can't stand Barrymore – horrible person with a nasty past. However, love your videos Emma, keep it up!
