Carnivorous Plants

My tiny outdoor bogs

They had a rough time with the heat this summer. Lots of non pitcher leaves or deformities, but overall did well.

The VFT and both purpurea started much smaller, and a few varieties of my sarencia in the purple pot are putting off some gorgeous fall pitchers (zoom in for bonus frog 🐸)

Our fly and yellow jacket problems this year were overall deceased. I don't know I can fully thank my beauties, but there are some full pitchers.

I think next year I'll add a 4th mini bog with filiformis drosera and a few other drosera that winter well here (NE US). I want further mosquito control – and the two I have caught quite a few of them, though the arrival of the frogs last year helped tremendously.
