Please help me with my Stephania Erecta.

Please help me with my Stephania Erecta

I bought this stephania erecta and it came with zero instructions. I figured out from googling it that I had to soak it for 24 hours, which I did.

But then to plant it, the pictures of roots online couldn’t be less clear. I’m assuming the long protuberance on the left is the root and goes in the soil, and the short one is a sprout and it stays over the soil… is this right? Or are they both roots?

As for the light, I placed it where it gets indirect light, like 4 feet from the window and grow lights.

To be clear I’m really good with tropical plants and succulents, but caudex plants are a complete mystery to me for some reason lol.

This is my second Stephania and the first one was a literal potato with no nodes or roots or anything, so I gave up on it after a while and tossed it. I would love to make this one happen and would really appreciate your help.
