basil repot fail?

I repot my root bound basil today and it’s now being dramatic… I made sure to separate each stem and break off some of the smaller roots for easier transfer. I used miracle gro indoor potting mix, prior to repot it was getting bright indirect light for 6hrs a day. I put it outside under direct light today bc I was worried

is there anything else I can do for it? already watered it enough so my instinct is to leave it alone for a little bit but I wanna water it again 😭😭😭
