Id let it be, but I’m basing that answer of absolutely zero scientific data

There is no need to remove it. Just leave it. Once the fruit splits, remove the whole fruit and clean the pulp off the seeds. I have found the best way to remove all the pulp is to let ants eat it. I remove all the pulp and seeds from the fruit and place it in a bowl. I then place the bowl outside where I know ants will come feast on the pulp. In a day or two, all that will be left are the seeds.
