Would Mexican Feathergrass do well in my side yard? Mostly shade with afternoon sun.

I’m wanting to spice up my side yard that’s north facing and thought about adding some landscaping plants. I’m thinking Mexican Feathergrass all along the walkway on the fence side. Would they do well here?

It’s mostly shade for most of the day but gets a peak of sun around 4-6pm so afternoon sun.

If not, what other plants would you suggest here in this area of the house?
