Bought this little 2” Haraella retrocalla (Taiwan fragrant orchid) off Amazon about 3 months ago as part of an experiment to see how these porous, terra cotta scaffolds work. Mostly I wanted to see if I could grow moss efficiently, but I threw on 2 of these little guys as well, and dang it if they don’t love it. They’ve both put out new leaves and roots and grown about 1/2” since then. And this morning I was greeted with this surprise! First time with this species and I’m so excited! (The brown stuff is applied moss spore powder- I’m less stoked about that part of the experiment)
