Does this pod look successfully pollinated? Been having trouble harvesting seeds

Begonia is a suspected hybrid Pavonina x Grandis, the ones being sold as Pavonina Dark Form. One of you guys said they’re potentially sterile – it does drop 95% of all male flowers and produces only a few grains of pollen on the ones that do open – but I’ve been trying to pollinate flowers with other plants just in case.

At first things look promising, with the stigma drying and petals falling, but then the “pollinated” pods drop within only 2/3 weeks vs the 6 weeks I’ve read it takes. So far none of the “seeds” I’ve gathered have germinated.

I have hopes for this pod(pic 1+2) which has stayed on the plant for ~4 weeks now and appears slightly swollen/heavy, but I’m a novice. In your experience does it look pollinated? Only time will tell but I’m impatient

  1. must be more than one pavonina “dark form”, mine has always pollinated readily and definitely is not sterile. sometimes the pod will drop after awhile for seemingly no reason but 3+ weeks is usually the safe zone
