I’m not very experienced in caring for monsteras and I tried to save my girlfriend’s dying monstera by taking some cuttings and putting them in water. Things were ok for the first two weeks and they grew roots. Now it’s been about four weeks or so and they’re starting to yellow/brown and are crispy on the edges. I tried moving them to indirect sunlight because I thought they were getting too much sun the window but not much has improved. The smaller one’s roots are also looking slightly brown and fuzzy. I’m not sure why this is or why they are drying out.

From here, this looks like thrips damage. I think that I can even see the larvae on the leaves. Use a magnifying glass to take a closer look.
