Leaving a ripe pepper on a vine to grow bigger?

I've got this ghost pepper on one of my plants that's almost fully red, it's even more red than in the picture. But it doesn't seem the right size compared to the bigger ones ony plant and pictures of ghost peppers seen on this sub. Should I pick it when it's fully ripened and red or will leaving it on the plant let it grow bigger?
