Hello all. I bought this guy two weeks ago from an orchard- I think it’s pretty neat, however I have no idea what stage it’s at. The leaves are firm but brittle feeling? I did a 10 minute upside down dunk yesterday and now these darker green spots are appearing. It’s like I scratched off the surface of the leaf.
Any guidance would be appreciated. I don’t want to kill this plant lol

Quick question: after soaking, did you dry it out under bright sunlight?
Ideally, you shouldn’t expose the plant to bright light when it’s wet. It may cause sunburn ie the trichomes might get damaged, which might manifest as the dark spots
