Killer on the nest (her name is Killer because she’s my most aggressive goose. I have 3 ganders and she’s the only one who will do something 🤣) Second eggs has pipped & im gonna check later today to see if that hatches too. 🐣
Wasn’t going to let Killer sit the nest but she was devoted to it despite my efforts of discouragement. She sat on 3 eggs, kicked the 3rd egg of the nest a few weeks in. Wasn’t viable, gotta love mother’s intuition.
Happy to have another proven goose on the farm. I prefer sitters to incubators. They tend to get great results & care for their young fiercely. Which is one of my favorite aspects of geese. 🪿
