Pedatum variegated / Florida beauty, lost of variegation.

Hi, I recently get this cutting with this nice variegate leaf (and only one node) but the new growing point is only Green, is there any chance the variegation come back later or it is impossible ?
If I understand correctly there are 2 types of variegation, one chimeric and the other is genetic, and Florida beauty is chimeric so that mean if the leafs start to be green, there is no coming back, it will stay only green, is that correct ?
