What’s happening to this money tree?

Have had this plant for about a year and it has been otherwise healthy looking. This summer it started attracting gnats so we’ve been spraying neem oil on it. Gnats are gone, but now a few leaves started to brown with white specks here and there. Should I be concerned?

Have you repotted yhem yet? Sometimes, rings are used to bind (and in the process girdle) the stems Underground. I’d get them removed.

Otherwise, just water less, they can go a few weeks without water.

Hard to tell in the photos- but it looks like you either have spider mites or thrips. Definitely keep spraying every couple days (make sure to get the underside of the leaves) but if it’s thrips i would really recommend Bonide systemic granules.

If you include a detailed photo of the underside of a badly infected leaf, i can tell you for sure which bug it is 🙂
