Struggling trying to figure out how to attach the plant to a moss pole help!

I had to use rubber bands to attach it (i not sure if this is a terrible idea). Does this look okay? I’m seeing different advice on the topic. Not sure and I’m exhausted been repotting and attaching all damn day
