Plant Identification

What is this plant?

I got this plant for free. Can someone help me identify it and let me know how I can make it happy again?

    Syngonium or arrowhead plant!
    Beautiful 😍

I’d probably start by unwrapping the vines and doing a quick check for pests (mealybugs love to live in the nooks and crannies of mine 😅). Best to deal with pests before anything else!

You could then prune off any dead leaves (and any ugly bits tbh, it will grow back really well).

Then, it probably could use repotting in fresh potting mix. Use a chunky well-draining mix (good quality potting mix with added perlite works for me). Make sure the pot has good drainage holes too.

At this point if you like you can train the vines up a frame or pole, if you like the look of that.

Pop it in bright indirect sun, it needs lots of light to get nice big leaves. I keep mine outside under the patio. Water with a seaweed solution if you have it (for the first few waters, to help the root system). Then after 4 weeks or so, liquid fertilize (half strength).

    Enjoy 😊 😊
