What's this plant

What are these pink flowers? I saw them all over the place in Quebec, Canada. I don’t think they’re native, they seemed to be planted in parks and gardens.

It’s a type of hydrangea. Love the late bloom! They’re one of the latest flowers around here!

  2. Holyyyy someone really fucking likes hydrangeas

It’s a Panicled Hydrangea, Hydrangea paniculata.

I’m not sure which variety this is.

    Hydrangea.

They’re pink because of the pH in the ground (acidic).

They will turn blue if the overall pH is made more basic. If it’s neutral, they will just be white iirc

Panicled Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata). Non-native shrub that’s widely over planted imo. The flower color varies depending on soil pH.

There are a few native Hydrangeas in the eastern US but none native to Canada to my knowledge
