Lawn Care

Another post asking if I should add more fert or seed before winter?

I killed off the lawn to get rid of a lot of bentgrass and reseeded with JG BBU (at bag rate, should have probably done more at seeding), using the Scott’s starter fert with mesotrione at seeding. Got a later start than ideal, seeding 9/16 I think. As you can see I’m getting okay germination but there are obviously lots of dirt areas between seedlings and even though I spread both directions, it looks like there’s some stripes where I was too far apart.

At this point, soil temp still says 61 but it’s been getting colder and next week we’ve got some days in the 50s. Should I throw down some more seed and fert, or should I just throw down some fert like Milo to give these guys an extra boost? In 5B (Western NY). Just not sure what is worth doing now before winter, versus having no choice but to wait until spring which will mean dealing with more weed threats.
